Crunchyroll is an entertainment publisher and licensing company that primarily offers streaming services of anime, manga, and Korean dramas. They are the largest anime streaming service available. Crunchyroll is a subsidiary of Otter Media, which is a subsidiary of AT&T’s WarnerMedia. The company was founded in 2006 by Kun Gao, Brandon Ooi, Vu Nguyen, and James Lin. The expo features exclusive screenings of episodes and movies, panels with anime and manga creators and voice actors, and concerts.
Crunchyroll offers access to more than 1,000 anime titles streamable through the Crunchyroll website or the Crunchyroll App that is available for Apple IoS, Android, Windows phones, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire. Simulcasts of popular titles are available as soon as one hour after airing in Japan. Basic streaming services are available for free and include access to most titles at standard definition, but access to simulcasts, HD ad-free video, and a discount on merchandise requires a premium subscription.
